Doing something right?

Let's count the days I've had a "choice beverage" to drink: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday. In addition, someone promised to buy me a margarita on Thursday because they're on sale at La Pachanga (and this certain person lost a bet to me), and there's the America party on Friday...so basically today might be my sober day.

I have only worked out like 1 1/2 times this summer. And it keeps raining on the days I have off, so that's not a plus for my exercise routine.

On the plus side, someone commented to me that I looked great. So maybe doing nothing is doing something right?

My new diet

This past week I have really let myself go ... and have some fun! Went out with a friend to mexican ($1.99 margaritas!) and then to ice cream. Went to the lake on Saturday and ate probably a whole bag of potato chips and a hot dog and drank a really bad Seagram's wine cooler (hey it was either that or a warm bottle of water). Loading up on carbs like it's no one's business (but obviously it's yours since you're reading this). I guess I realized "Hey, so I'm a little chubby at the moment. But I'm having some fun and I'll start working out when I'm really depressed after a move away and have no friends to occupy my time."

Oh, I finally finished reading "Eat, Pray, Love." I probably liked one-third of it (the "Eat" part.), but hey, it's the first book I've read in a long time that wasn't required for a class.

Today I woke up at 6 A.M.

Today I woke up at 6 A.M. ... and went back to sleep. I did wake up at 7:10ish. To go to work at 8. For lunch I resisted buying one of those gigantic cookies. So that's a step in the right direction, right?

Sleeping vs. partying vs. exercising

These past few weeks have been super crazy, with all these parties and get togethers and BBQs...and how rude would it be for me to not go to them? So of course when people call me and ask "hey, aren't you going out with us?" I'm like "Yes." Then there's the whole lack of sleep factor. I have to be at work at 9 (but usually it's more like 9ish), which means I need to get up at 8 (somedays it's more like 8:30ish), which means if I actually wanted to get up and exercise before work I would have to wake up at ... yeah that's never going happen.

The lowdown: I figure with the standing around at work the entire day and running around most of the evenings, I'm kinda exercising.

So the operation for me has (kinda) begun.

Exercise at your own risk!

Today it rained, and since I'm no longer a student that means I can no longer work out at the rec center, which means if I want to actually exercise I have the great outdoors as my rec center. Unless it rains. For like two days and counting. Plus, my dad told me this story about a panther attacking a woman in Missouri...and she was inside her house! Whoa -- why would I want to exercise outside when panthers are obviously out for human blood? And then after the panther story my brother was like "uh I have this friend's dad who saw this bear not too far from here." Yikes!
I did try to be healthy at dinner. I order chicken ... chicken kreps that is. Fried chicken stuffed with cream cheese served with fettucine and alfredo sauce. To be fair, I only ate half of it. Plus my parents were the cause of my nausea at dinner, "joking" about their "sex lives." Yeah I may end up vomiting later, which counts for "something" toward my hot body...right?

Motivation

"What would Oprah do?"
This shall be one of many motivators behind our operation...an operation for hot bodies.
